Jordan Bike sideshot

Jordan Grand Prix has teamed up with Dave Lloyd, one of the UK's most successful amateur and professional bike riders, to produce the Jordan Bike.

Made out of the same materials and in the same style as a Formula One car, the Jordan Bike is one of the lightest and strongest there is. The total weight is approximately 8.75kg (just over 19 lbs).

Handlebars

Each Jordan Bike will be made to the individual requirements of its owner and will carry its unique identification number on the frame. The bikes are further personalised with their lucky owner's name on the top tube.

The bike's frame may look radical but it is also functional. The top tube is extended, with no seat tube, which helps with road shock absorbtion and gives an exceptionally comfortable ride. The carbon-fibre is laid to make the frame super-stiff so that there is no flex when climbing. The nature of the construction also adds to the bike's very high level of stability at speed and when descending. Here we use the differential properties of the carbon-fibre in the same way as on the Formula One car.

The bikes also feature a dramatic paint scheme, with Jordan logos laid on a typically Jordan bright yellow base and a shark motif in the style of the racing cars.
