The Benson and Hedges Jordan Honda Team travels to the exciting atmosphere of Albert Park in Melbourne, feeling up-beat and focused as the Formula One World Championship re-commences for the 2001 season.

'"Ferrari and McLaren will be the teams to beat and Jordan hopes to be up there in that Championship fight, where the competition will no doubt be closer than ever," remarked Jordan's Chief Executive, Eddie Jordan. Friday Practice, 2001 Australian Grand Prix

Heinz-Harald Frentzen 8th, 1:30.802, 31 laps. Jarno Trulli 2nd, 1:29.267, 36 laps. A minor off at the beginning of the session caused Heinz slight damage to his EJ11 car's barge board and front wing. Jarno experienced an electronic problem with the steering wheel during the first session.

Benson and Hedges Jordan Honda continued their encouraging progress this morning when Heinz-Harald Frentzen and Jarno Trulli were fourth and fifth fastest during final practice before qualifying for tomorrow's Australian Grand Prix.

Heinz-Harald Frentzen and Jordan Grand Prix fulfilled the promise shown during practice by qualifying fourth fastest for the Australian Grand Prix.

Jarno Trulli was less happy, having struggled with a handling problem to claim seventh place on the grid.

Sunday Warm-up, 2001 Australian Grand Prix

Benson and Hedges Jordan Honda had a drama-free warm-up for the Australian Grand Prix, Heinz-Harald Frentzen setting 10th fastest time with Jarno Trulli 12th. All 11 teams used the half-hour session to make final decisions over car set-ups for the 58-lap race.

"Everything went very well," said Trevor Foster, Managing Director, Jordan Grand Prix.
