The Jordan Experience 2004

Every year during the British Grand Prix race weekend, Jordan brings F1 to the fans with the 'Jordan Experience', an exciting event held in the factory grounds at Silverstone from Thursday through until Sunday.

Activities at this years Experience included a Jordan simulator, a giant screen showing both qualifying and the live race for those who didn't have tickets, plus the 2004 EJ14 race car on display for everyone to see.  Staff also laid on a VIP test day prize draw and an Official Jordan Memorabilia shop where original Jordan car parts, special edition autographed items and 2004 team kit were available to buy at a reduced cost.

Saturday and Sunday also saw the Experience host an F1 pitstop challenge, where members of the public were encouraged to compete against the clock in teams of three, at changing the wheel of an F1 car. Suddenly those pit stops on TV didn't look quite so easy!

Eddie Jordan and team drivers Nick Heidfeld, Giorgio Pantano and Timo Glock all made numerous appearances throughout the weekend to sign autographs and pose for pictures, receiving a fantastic reception every time.
Timo said "as we walked in, everyone started clapping and singing 'We Will Rock You', it was really cool! We couldn’t believe that so many people had come to see us. I think Giorgio was speechless probably for the first time!"

Fans came in their droves from nearby campsites and B&B’s to enjoy each evenings entertainment from Jordan’s guest bands Ltd Company, The Idiot boy and Chain Gang, as well as music from in-house DJ Dave Maxwell. The event was a resounding success, attracting the ITV film crew,  as well as Kerry and Bryan McFadden, guests of Jordan at the British GP.  Bryan McFadden was so impressed with the Experience that he joined Eddie and the drivers on stage and sang Mustang Sally, an added treat for the Westlife fans.

Claire O’Flynn, Marketing and Brand Executive , who plans and oversees the Jordan Experience, said "The Jordan Experience gives fans added entertainment over the Grand Prix weekend. Feedback from people staying at local campsites has told us that they struggle to find things to do when the track is closed, so the Jordan Experience aims to make the weekend great value for money with the opportunity to join the Jordan party throughout the Grand Prix ! It is also a fantastic opportunity for Jordan to make Formula One more accessible to the fans with Eddie Jordan and the racing drivers visiting frequently to meet the people who support our sport."

Eddie said "This is what Jordan is all about, entertaining the fans. Playing the drums on stage Saturday night with Brian, Nick, Giorgio and Timo was the highlight for me. I love the fans and it was great to see so many brave the weather and turn out in such high spirits. It gave us all a real buzz!"
