Arrows will compete in tomorrow's British Grand Prix after all, ending several days of uncertainty following their high profile court battle with investor Morgan Grenfell. Team boss Tom Walkinshaw held a short media conference this morning, refuting the statements by a Queens Counsel on Wednesday that the management of the team had been 'dishonest', 'improper' or 'underhand'.
It appears that a temporary agreement has been reached between Arrows and Cosworth to permit the team to race this weekend, but the future for the team appears to remain in the balance. Arrows' management has stated that at all times they acted in the best interests of the team and its creditors, and had secured a deal to save the team.
Heinz-Harald Frentzen and Enrique Bernoldi were able to take to the track for this morning's first practice, setting the 4th and 8th fastest times respectively during the initial 45 minute period. The temporary resolution will no doubt come as a huge relief to the Arrows staff and also title sponsor Orange for whom the British Grand Prix is a key event.
