Reigning Formula 3000 champion Justin Wilson is still hoping to find an F1 drive for this year. The lanky Englishman, who was given a test run in a Jordan at the end of last year, feels he is overlooked because of his height - he is over six foot. It gets annoying that people think I'm too tall," complained Wilson speaking on the opening day of the Autosport International show in Birmingham, England. "It is frustrating. At the end of the day, I fit in racing cars and I'm quick enough. They seem to think that because I'm tall all my weight is higher up. They think taller equals heavier, equals slower. The only way to prove them wrong is to win, and that's what I've done."
Wilson's name has been linked to the Minardi team, who currently have one seat available alongside Malaysia's Alex Yoong. However, today, the Anglo-Italian squad announced it would be testing Christijan Albers in Valencia, next week. Albers was the 1999 German F3 champion and already tested for Minardi last year.
