Rubens Barrichello continued to head the field in this morning's warm-up session, his Ferrari eclipsing the time set by his team mate Michael Schumacher by a mere 0.019s. For DHL Jordan Honda the session brought a performance typical of the weekend so far with Giancarlo Fisichella 12th and Takuma Sato 15th.
"We had no real problems," said Gary Anderson afterwards. "We were trying to find tyre consistency for the race. There were no dramas and the pace is where we are, so we have just to survive and stay out of trouble and see what happens in the race."
The Saubers continued to impress as did the Arrows pair, while Ralf Schumacher and Juan Pablo Montoya's times suggest that Williams may be looking at a one-stop strategy. The BAR Hondas were well placed in 8th and 11th. The conditions remain sunny, with a few light clouds, but no sign of the rain or thunderstorms which have been rumoured al weekend.
