Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live last night, Bernie Ecclestone said that the British Grand Prix was safe. He pointed out that Octagon Motorsports has a 10 year contract to run the race at the Silverstone circuit.
Also speaking on Radio 5 Live last night, Jordan Grand Prix's Director of Business Affairs, Ian Phillips, agreed with Mr Ecclestone's comments about the poor signage within and around the circuit over the Grand Prix weekend but praised the greatly improved road system.
Jordan's HQ is just 100m from Silverstone and we have been watching the speed and extent of the developments with great interest. The full system, which bypasses the Silverstone village and increases the nearby A43 to a modern dual carriageway, will be completed by September. The half-open roads proved their worth last weekend and will receive their true test at next year's race.
