Brother extends partnership with Jordan Grand Prix

Jordan Grand Prix is pleased to announce that Brother International Europe has extended its sponsorship with the Silverstone based team for a further two years.  Brother is a leading manufacturer for office products including Printers, Fax and Multi-function machines, P-touch electronic labelling machines and Typewriter/Word processors. It is also known as the leading manufacturer of domestic Sewing machines and Embroidery machines. Operating in 199 countries world-wide, Brother has been a sponsor in Formula One since 1998, initially with Williams before joining Jordan in 2000.  Brother’s contract renewal will see it allied with Jordan for the 2002 and 2003 seasons as the team fights for the World Championship with Italy’s Giancarlo Fisichella and Japanese rookie Takuma Sato.

Eddie Jordan, Chief Executive of Benson and Hedges Jordan Honda, said: “I am delighted to announce that our partnership with Brother will continue until at least the end of 2003.  Jordan values the continuity and commitment Brother’s ongoing involvement provides.”

“I am delighted that Brother has been able to extend the length of its contractual obligations to Jordan,” explained Toyomi Ido, Managing Director of Brother International Europe. “There is no doubt that Jordan is one of the strongest contenders in Formula One and that Brother can continue to benefit from the partnership to strengthen our market position.”

The agreement includes the continued display of the Brother logo on the Jordan-Honda race car and on the suits of the drivers.  In addition, Brother will develop the value of the sponsorship agreement in a series of high-profile trade and consumer promotions.
