Both Giancarlo Fisichella and Takuma Sato were at Jordan's Silverstone HQ today and it was an historic event, as it was the first time the two drivers had actually met. They had a chance to talk, after sizing one another up from neighbouring race bays in the workshop, as they went through the seat-fitting process for the team's 2002 challenger, the EJ12. It was a busy afternoon for both men, as they made their first acquaintance with the new monocoque, as well as having impressions of their ears taken, to ensure their earpieces for the pit-to- car radio are comfortable. It was also an opportunity for the two drivers to sign a pile of J Mags, featuring our dynamic duo on the cover. Press and TV interviews were on the agenda and poor Taku had to endure half an hour being photographed outside the factory, on the coldest day of the year!

He and Giancarlo will have plenty of time to warm up and meet the entire Jordan staff as they are staying over for tonight's end-of-year team party.
