Michael Schumacher has donated one million Euros to help victims of the flooding in his native Germany. “I saw the terrible pictures of what is happening and wanted to help,” said the World Champion. “Especially those who don’t have the financial means to deal with the situation.” The donation was made last night, as part of a German TV “Telethon” to raise money for the victims.
Meanwhile, in Budapest, parts of the city have been evacuated in case the River Danube bursts its banks. Crowd figures at the Hungaroring have been affected, as Germans usually make up a large percentage of the crowd and they have been warned not to travel to Hungary because of the risk of flooding.
