Williams heads practice

Williams headed first practice for this weekend's San Marino Grand Prix, Ralf Schumacher pipping team mate Juan Pablo Montoya and the Jaguar of Mark Webber once again showing well by finishing third quickest.  David Coulthard was a solid fourth fastest for McLaren in spite of a minor off, while Renault's Spanish ace Fernando Alonso was a good fifth.

For Jordan Ford the session brought promising performances from Brazilian Grand Prix winner Giancarlo Fisichella, 11th, and team mate Ralph Firman, 15th.  Fisichella was fastest for a time, both Jordan's late out onto the track following changes to the cars after the earlier two hour test session.  Fisichella is in an optimistic frame of mind while Firman was enjoying his first experience of the Imola circuit having only seen the track for the first time yesterday when he walked the circuit.
