Through our web design partners Bang New Media, Jordan Grand Prix's web site has been shortlisted in the Sports category of the 2002 New Media Age awards. The awards are intended to recognise successful new media projects that demonstrate the power and effectiveness of digital media, and the F1Jordan.com nomination was selected from a field of 632 entries.
Re-launched in October last year, F1Jordan.com provides a first point of call for fans of the Jordan Formula 1 team, and of F1 in general. Bang New Media's role was critical to the success of F1Jordan.com, as it was important that the colourful and dynamic image of Jordan and Formula 1 was translated onto the web site.
"The New Media Age Effectiveness Awards are regarded as a benchmark of excellence for the new media industry, so we are delighted to have made the shortlist", commented Charles Bell, Director Bang New Media. "We worked with the management at Jordan to ensure we understood what they wanted to achieve with their digital media, and helped them to do just that. Their input, feedback, support and enthusiasm was key to the success of this project".
In addition to the role of Bang New Media, Jordan also looked to KPMG Consulting for development services and the e-commerce facility that enables Jordan to gain revenue from its web presence; Attenda to ensure that the site attains the highest levels of availability and performance; and the web site content is maintained using the Tridion Dialogserver content management system.
The awards ceremony is to be held at Le Meridien Grosvenor House Hotel in London on Thursday 27th June 2002.
