Formula One media were torn between two locations and two launches today, because while Williams showed off the FW24 at Silverstone, Sauber were busy unveiling the C21 at their HQ in Hinwil, Switzerland. The car, which is an evolution of last year’s C20, has already been running in plain blue livery for the past two test sessions, however this was the first chance for the media to get a good look at it.
The team is hoping to retain its fourth position in the constructor’s championship. "We know that we are aiming high," said team principal Peter Sauber. "Our fourth place in 2001 was an optimum result from our point of view. Nevertheless, we accept the challenge to do even better in our 10th year in the exclusive circle of Formula One."
