It was an eventful practice session for the Jordan Ford team in Indianapolis hampered by changeable weather. Unfortunately both drivers experienced problems, Fisichella suffered an engine failure and Firman had an apparent electrical problem which caused the car to cut out which the team is currently investigating.
Gary Anderson, Director of Race and Test Engineering commented: "We hoped to accomplish more today but with the weather conditions and various problems we've had that hasn't been possible. Bjorn did a good job this morning, he's building up his experience which is just what he needs at this stage"
Ralph Firman commented: "I feel fine and it's great to be back in the car. There are only two races to go and we need to make the most of them so I'm hoping to score a point or two if I can. If this wet then dry weather continues we may be in with a chance."
Giancarlo Fisichella added: "Very frustrating to have a gearbox problem cost me nearly all of the test session then engine failure counting me out of most of free practice, but this is life, we have to get on with it and I'll do my best in qualifying this afternoon and the rest of the weekend."
