Always keen to try something strange, Jaguar boss Niki Lauda has decided to see how good his test drivers are, by putting them up against the highly rated Fernando Alonso.
The Spaniard who is Renault F1's official test driver is being loaned to Jaguar for this Thursday at the Silverstone test, when he will drive the Jaguar R3 for the first time. The idea is that Lauda will have a benchmark to measure the abilities of his two young testers, James Courtney and Andre Lotterer, who will also be driving the R3 that day.
Sounds like the Milton Keynes bodyshop could be kept busy after the three way shoot-out!
