This weekend's German Grand Prix is the home event for Deutsche Post World Net, the parent company of Jordan's title sponsor DHL. One of the largest logistics companies in the world, Deutsche Post World Net has been a major sponsor of the Jordan team for three years, stepping up to the position of primary sponsor for 2002.
From its headquarters in Bonn, Deutsche Post World Net operates a global logistics network which included not only the famous DHL brand but also Danzas and Securicor. This weekend's race at Hockenheim will see Jordan hosting management and guests from Deutsche Post World Net, and tonight sees a gala dinner which will be attended by drivers Giancarlo Fisichella and Takuma Sato, team principal Eddie Jordan, Director of Business Affairs Ian Phillips, Head of Marketing Mark Gallagher and the person responsible for coordinating the team's relationship with Deutsche Post World Net - Christine Gorham.
Giancarlo Fisichella's excellent sixth position on the grid for tomorrow's Grand Prix, not to mention Takuma Sato's best qualifying of the season so far, is therefore well timed to coincide with Deutsche Post World Net's most important event of the year, and everyone is hoping for a good result in tomorrow's race.
