Working together to improve
Jordan pushes on

Having arrived back from Barcelona on Sunday evening, Eddie Jordan was at his team's Silverstone HQ this morning to address his staff and give them up-dates on the company changes and developments of the past week.  Speaking on the factory floor to his 200-plus strong work force from Silverstone and the Jordan Wind Tunnel, housed five miles away in Brackley, EJ thanked his team for the understanding and support they had given him over the past days.  "This past week has been tough," he said. "But now we must move on and work harder than ever.  I am here to emphasise that I am more pasionate than ever about Jordan achieving success.   I want to win a World Championship.  I know that seems a far off goal at present, but don't let's forget that two years ago Jordan was winning races and McLaren were lapping the competition - so things change quickly in our business."

Jordan re-outlined the new company Management structure.  "Richard O'Driscoll (Chief Financial Officer) will be in charge of the day-to-day running of the company," he explained, "and I, together with Ian Phillips and Mark Gallagher, will be in charge of Commercial issues.  Henri Durand and Gary Anderson will run the Technical side of Jordan Grand Prix."

EJ then handed over to Henri Durand, Jordan's Director of Devlopment and Design,  who, flanked by Anderson, gave the team a run down of the company's revised technical structure and a de-brief of the race weekend in Spain.  "It is clear that our current performance is unacceptable," he said. "But now we have a number of developments in the pipeline.  Our car is not weak in any specific area so we are working on a number of fronts to develop it."
