A Jordan Honda was the first car to drive down the new Dadford Road dual carriageway outside the main entrance to Silverstone Circuit. DHL Jordan Honda loaned one of last year’s EJ11 chassis driven by British ace Justin Wilson to officially open the new section of road aimed at easing congestion around the Silverstone circuit.
Crowds gathered to see the reigning FIA Formula 3000 Champion drive down the newly completed stretch of road which runs from the soon-to-be-opened Silverstone bypass down to a new roundabout which will also form the new entrance to Jordan’s headquarters. After treating onlookers to a show of speed, he posed for photographs with construction workers and officials, and was joined by riders from the World Superbike Championship, including Castrol Honda’s 2000 World Champion Colin Edwards.
"It felt good getting back in the car again, it’s nice to feel the power" smiles Justin afterwards. "Its good to drive down this road, its surprisingly smooth actually and I am delighted to play a part in its opening".
