Sunday Warmup - Japanese Grand Prix 2000 Season After a disappointing qualifying yesterday, Jordan Grand Prix had a more encouraging warm-up this morning as both drivers found the handling of their cars had improved following overnight calculations and adjustments. Jarno Trulli was sixth fastest, Heinz-Harald Frentzen 19th.
'A bit better this morning,' said Trevor Foster, Managing Director, Jordan Grand Prix. 'Heinz-Harald was not particularly comfortable with the feel of his car - the balance was unpredictable - but he was immediately faster after a single flying lap at the end in his spare car. Jarno was a lot happier this morning. We fixed the power steering problem he had during qualifying and the 'feel' is much better. Now we have to think about our it stop strategy and see if we can improve on our starting positions. The weather forecast says there is a 50 per cent chance of showers.'
Once again the championship contenders, Michael Schumacher and Mika Hakkinen, were quickest overall.
None of the leading runners had any major problems during the 30-minute session.
