A Bookmaker's Preview Of The German Grand Prix
Next up is the German Grand Prix at Hockenheim, the circuit that saw Jordan gain a podium finish two years ago.

Jarno Trulli has odds of 7/4 to finish in the points. The Italian also features in a head to head with Nick Heidfeld, with both available at 5/6.

You can bet on Jordan -- and other teams -- through Jordan's official e-betting partner, Eurobet. If you are a UK resident, go to www.eurobet.co.uk. If not, place your bets through Eurobet's international site, www.eurobet.com.

Michael Schumacher is another driver looking to impress his home supporters, he also has the considerable incentive of equalling Alain Prost's all-time record of Grand Prix wins, and after his second place last time, he is available at 11/8 to secure win number 51. Although this may not appear to be great value, such is the German's dominance at present, the 11/8 should not be ignored. Ferrari's number two driver Rubens Barrichello has secured successive podium finishes at Magny-Cours and Silverstone, on both occasions he was sent off at 16/1. Despite this run of form, and winning at Hockenheim last year, Rubino is available at 20/1, a price that represents decent each way value.

Having seen the title slip from his grasp this year, McLaren's David Coulthard may be a driver to avoid at Hockenheim, and despite Hakkinen's return to form, he too could be hard pressed to figure in the latter stages next weekend. For those wishing to back the McLaren drivers, the 5/1 that the Finn gains pole position offers greatest appeal.

If the McLaren drivers cannot provide stern opposition to Ferrari, who might? The obvious choice is the Williams pairing of Ralf Schumacher and Juan Pablo Montoya, and if they can overcome reliability doubts, both should go well. However, at 10/3 there is no each way value in backing the younger Schumacher, and although Montoya has performed with credit in his debut season, it is hard to see him finishing in the first three.

For those looking for a big price run for their money, the aforementioned Heidfeld and Kimi Raikkonen are both 80/1 shots, and given their impressive recent form, either could sneak into the top three.
