Saturday Qualifying - Brazilian Grand Prix 2001 Season
The Benson & Hedges Jordan Hondas will start the Brazilian Grand Prix from the fourth row of the grid after a very close qualifying session.

Michael Schumacher comfortably won his seventh successive pole position but the next 10 places were covered by less than a second.

Jarno Trulli recovered from a frustrating morning to claim seventh fastest time. 'It was obviously a difficult qualifying for me,' said Jarno. 'I didn't manage any timed laps in the second half of the morning session so I wasn't able to complete the work I needed to find the best set-up for qualifying. Even so, given our good performance yesterday, I think we are in good shape for the race.'

'We did a good job during qualifying,' said Heinz-Harald. 'I squeezed everything I could out of the car. The balance (of the car) was okay and I had to abort my third (out of four) run when I came across a slower car. With everyone being so close, it was difficult to make the step necessary to move up the grid. The competition is very strong but we are not that far away from the front when you look at the times. I think we will be pretty strong for the race. It should be good!'

For the first time, the Schumacher brothers will start from the front row of the grid after Ralf set second fastest time for Williams. Mika Hakkinen was third fastest in his McLaren, Juan Pablo Montoya recovering from a crash on his first flying lap to set fourth fastest time in the spare Williams.
