Saturday Practice - European Grand Prix 2000 Season Frentzen up-beat for qualifying in Germany
Benson and Hedges Jordan driver Heinz-Harald Frentzen is in up-beat mood for this afternoon's European Grand Prix qualifying session.
Stepping out of his car at the end of the morning practice session, he said to Andy Steveneson, his number one mechanic, "The car is perfect."
Frentzen ran in first and second place for most of the session, but finished the morning fifth after making a mistake on his final run.
"Qualifying will be very tough," commented Stevenson, "But Heinz and his EJ10 are in great shape. We have the speed, but of course you can never tell what is going to happen in qualifying and whether traffic will lose us time."
Frenzten qualified on pole here last year. What are the chances of repeating this great result? "I don't think we'll make pole," says Stevenson, "but the front row of the grid is not an impossibility if things go our way."
