Saturday Practice - Hungarian Grand Prix 2000 Season Despite setting fourth and seventh fastest times during morning practice, Heinz-Harald Frentzen and Jarno Trulli both felt the set-up on their cars was not quite ready for qualifying this afternoon.
The Jordan Grand Prix drivers continued to suffer from understeer, a time-consuming problem on such a tight track.
'We improved the car from yesterday,' said Frentzen. 'The car is definitely handling better but, even so, we are still suffering from understeer on certain corners. It's difficult to keep the tyres in good shape. Hopefully, we can get it sorted for qualifying.'
Trulli said he was not particularly happy despite being less than a tenth of a second slower than Frentzen. 'I've still got a problem with the balance of the car,' said Jarno. 'It's understeering too much on the middle and final sectors of the lap. I am losing time there and that will be critical if we don't get it sorted for qualifying because, as usual, the grid times are going to be very close.'
David Coulthard, who had two minor off-course excursions, set second fastest time to split the Ferraris. Mika Hakkinen, struggling with the set-up of his McLaren, was sixth fastest.
