Trulli 9th in Warm-Up
27-aug-2000
Sunday Warmup - Belgium Grand Prix 2000 Season
The warm-up was run in wet conditions, both drivers trying the various tyre options available in preparation for a race which could be run a mix of wet and dry weather. Jarno Trulli was ninth fastest and Heinz-Harald Frentzen 11th, neither driver reporting any problems.

'It was a matter of trying various wet weather and intermediate tyres in the wet conditions,' said Trevor Foster, Managing Director, Jordan Grand Prix. 'There are two types of rain tyre, plus the intermediate, which is effectively a dry weather tyre with more grooves. Neither driver had any problems. The difficulty now will be deciding exactly what set-up to run on the cars for a race which could be a mixture of weather with the track perhaps drying quickly.'

Mika Hakkinen (McLaren) and Michael Schumacher (Ferrari) were quickest with Jenson Button (Williams) third.
