Mugen Co. Ltd.
1973
Mugen Co Ltd founded.
Developed FJ1300 - the entry formula category engine code named MF318 from the mass-production Honda Civic 1.3 litre engine.

1974
Commenced sales of the MF318.
The engine won the debut race and was highly ranked in the season's standings.

1976
Developed Mugen ME125 and ME250 motorcycles.
Participated in Japanese Motocross Championship. ME250 won the Japanese Grand Prix.

1980
Johnny O'Mara won the U.S. Grand Prix of the World GP Motocross Series.

1981
With a 400 PS engine dynamometer installed in the factory, the company was fully prepared to participate in Formula 2. By collaborating with Honda, Mugen began development of the new V-6 2.0 litre racing engines for Formula 2.
The Japanese Formula 2 engine won the Japanese Formula 2 Championship.

1984
First participation in Suzuka eight hour endurance race with Mugen's own 'White Bull', which was developed from the Honda CBX750.

1985
Commenced development and testing of the Formula One engine by collaborating with Honda. The CR-X participated in the U.S.SCCA GT-4 class through the co-operation with American Honda Inc and won the championship. Mugen Civic participated in the Japanese Group A Touring Car Series and won the class title.

1987
Participated in the Japanese F3000 Championship with Mugen MF308 engine.
Participated in the Japanese F3 Championship with Mugen MF204 engine, winning the Constructors' Championship.

1989
Participated in the European F3 Championship with MF204.
Participated in the European F3000 Championship with MF308 and won the championship with driver Jean Alesi.

1991
Participated in Formula One with V10 engine supplied to Tyrrell.

1992
Participated in Formula One Grand Prix with MF351H V10 engine for Footwork Grand Prix Team.

1994
Supplied MF351H-C V10 Formula One engine to Team Lotus.

1995
Supplied MF301H V10 Formula One engine to Ligier Sports S.A.

1996
First win at Formula One Monaco GP with Ligier.

1997
Supplied MF301H-B V10 Formula One engine to Prost Grand Prix.

1998
Supplied MF301H-C V10 Formula One engine to Jordan Grand Prix.
Achieved historic 1-2 with the team in Spa.

1999
Supplied MF301H-D V10 Formula One engine to Jordan Grand Prix.
Achieved the highest ever Constructors' Championship standing of 3rd.
